As Severn Trent ramp up our work to deliver our next 5-year business plan, we’re looking for a Development Architect to come and help us! In this newly created role, we’ll be looking for you to work with various stakeholders to understand their needs and to define solutions to these, ensuring that all architecture is developed in line with our strategic direction.
You will be looking to understand the concepts of the business goals, objectives and outcomes, and ensuring their importance in solution architecture. Providing necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks, which are related to support the development of all our technology solutions, you will ensure that solutions meet business needs and align with architectural governance and standards.
Using your specialist skills and knowledge, you will define and deliver integrated solutions that contribute to the development and implementation of the business’s IT plans in line with our overall strategy of IT and the business.
You\\\’ll be based at our Finham site in Coventry? You’ll work within our dedicated Planning & Architecture team of around 20 people. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday.

What we’re looking for
In order to succeed in this role it is expected that you will have some demonstrable experience operating as an architect with expertise of the subject domains related to Software Development. We will also look for you to be experienced in working in various delivery methodologies including an Agile/SAFe environment.
Knowledge of DevOps and CI/CD expertise will be keenly sought after as will experience of Full stack applications.
