We’re excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Technology Project Manager to join our team on a permanent basis. Operating within a hybrid delivery environment, we’re looking for someone with hands-on experience across Agile, iterative, and traditional Waterfall frameworks, with the confidence to tailor their approach to the needs of each initiative.
As a Technology Project Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in leading cross-functional teams to deliver work to quality, time and cost. Your ability to foster collaboration and remove obstacles will be key to maintaining momentum and ensuring continuous improvement. Equally important will be your stakeholder management skills, building trust, influencing decisions, and aligning expectations across all levels of the organisation.
This is a dynamic and rewarding role with a wide range of responsibilities. You’ll be expected to build strong relationships with internal and external partners, manage risks, scope and project finances within the project delivery framework, and ensure business readiness throughout the delivery lifecycle.
You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre in Coventry. You’ll work within one of our dedicated teams, working on a variety of projects & programmes. With this being such a critical role, we’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, Monday to Friday.
You’ll join a caring culture that collaborates to achieve, grow, and develop. Our employee engagement scores are among the highest globally in energy and utilities. That’s why we value in-person moments to keep our culture alive but also understand the flexibility working from home can bring. So, you’ll usually find us in the office, but working from home is supported, when you need it.
We’re looking for an Agile Project Manager with hands-on experience across Agile, Waterfall, PRINCE2, Lean, or hybrid models—someone who can flex their approach to fit the project. You’ll be confident using Agile toolsets and championing a culture of collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement.
Although we’re happy to consider all candidates with a good demonstrable experience of IT project delivery, our ideal candidate would have some experience of delivering within a Technical or IT Infrastructure capacity. Equally important is your commercial mindset. You’ll help ensure we deliver real value that aligns with investment. If you bring the right skills, a positive outlook, and a people-first attitude, we’d love to hear from you.
Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too. We welcome people from all walks of life and celebrate individuality as we know diverse minds, experiences and backgrounds help us to learn and better serve our communities. We seek people who get involved, want to be part of something bigger, and make a difference because they care.
It’s not just a job; it’s a career. We offer benefits that reward great work and award-winning training to help you reach your potential. Plus, you’ll contribute to the environment and community too. Here are some of our favourites:
- 28 days holiday + bank holidays (and the ability to buy/ sell up to 5 days per year)
- Annual bonus scheme (of up to £2,225, which is subject to eligibility)
- Family-friendly policies (including a year off fully paid maternity and adoption leave)
- Leading pension scheme – we will double your contribution (up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%)
- Sharesave – the chance to buy Severn Trent plc shares at a discounted rate
- Dedicated training and development with our Academy
