Our Apprentice Project Manager Programme offers the perfect blend of personal and professional development, exposing you to the core of our business. You’ll be supported every step of the way. Your role will be to gain practical experience in a few teams developing your knowledge and understanding of Severn Trent and the processes. All of this will allow you to further develop your skills so you can communicate data effectively to a wide variety of stakeholders. Furthermore, you’ll spend time with our Project Management team, assisting and running the delivery of multi-million-pound programmes of work across rivers and wastewater treatment works. You’ll liaise with other teams, working collaboratively to deliver projects that impact the wider business.

HOW WILL THE PROGRAMME WORK?

You will be based at Raynesway in Derby, the heart of our patch. The programme requires you to complete placements within project teams, gaining exposure in different areas of the department so that you are equipped with the right skills to build your career here at Severn Trent. In this exciting programme, you will have the chance to discuss your development and career ambitions in your 1-1 meetings with business leads, mentors, a study buddy, the cohort leader, and the New Talent Team. As part of this apprenticeship, you will be studying towards a Level 4 qualification in Associate Project Manager.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

  • Managing the project lifecycle in full, from design to delivery.
  • Managing and reporting on projects for time, cost, and quality.
  • The promotion and handover of projects.
  • Working collaboratively in a mixed role team, developing your skills, and learning consistently from others, to deliver projects from start to finish.

Our New Talent Team will guide you and support you every step of the way. Furthermore, your line manager, mentor and apprentice buddy will be there to help you in making sure you reach your full potential here at Severn Trent.

Standard Associate Project Manager

Apprenticeship Level 4

Apprenticeship Duration 18 months (not including EPA period)

Starting Salary £22,500

Entry Criteria For this Apprenticeship Programme (Level 4 Foundation Degree) we require all candidates to have Level 3 qualifications (A-Levels, BTEC National, NVQ/SVQ Level 3, Level 3 advanced apprenticeship). Please confirm that you do/will meet this requirement.

Driving Requirements Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is required for this role.
