EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
We’re looking for a dedicated Ancillary Technician to help maintain and improve our underground water distribution network. In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for servicing pressure control valves, managing flow and disinfection, and supporting the delivery of clean water to our customers.
You’ll investigate and resolve pressure-related issues, carry out meter repairs, and collaborate with internal teams and contractors to ensure efficient operations. The role also involves responding to customer concerns on-site, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring all work complies with health, safety, and regulatory standards. WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE
The ideal candidate has significant experience or training in a utility-based industry, with strong IT skills and a background in problem-solving roles involving repairs. Desirable experience includes working with pressure reducing valves, flow modulators, maintaining distribution meters, and knowledge of water distribution networks.
We are seeking someone with excellent communication and customer service skills who has the capability of explaining complex technical issues simply and interacting effectively with customers face-to-face. Being able to demonstrate an adaptable attitude, strong problem-solving abilities, sound decision-making, and accuracy in data recording will be essential. The ideal candidate is also self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team, and is skilled at prioritising their workload effectively.
