EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW
This role, covering the Central region (Warwickshire, Leicester and West Midlands), will safely operate diverse range of equipment at Sewage Treatment works/Sewage Pumping Stations as an Operational Technician.
Being part of new, proactive team we are looking for an operative with drive and determination that would like to develop their and assist with a skilled team of maintainers in delivery of small installation and refurbishment projects throughout the region. Ideal candidates will be curious, with problem solving skills and the drive and determination to deliver small projects and learn new skills. The role will consist of the operational duties associated with carrying out planned, proactive and repair work on a wide range of assets.
In this role you will be working to ensure our sites and assets are operated effectively, efficiently and safely, through complying with and contributing to statutory, company & treatment works policies and procedures.
We are looking for people who demonstrate a positive outlook and behaviours, and can work under their own initiative, both unsupervised and within a team environment. We are looking for problem solvers, and people keen to make a positive impact by looking for ways to help us work more efficiently and effectively. You’ll need to have a flexible approach, with the ability to react quickly and efficiently to changes on any given day or over the course of the job role. The role holder is likely to be based at one of our main sewage treatment works dependant on home location but could also start from home straight to site working throughout the local geographical area. You will be provided with a vehicle for business use, plus safety clothing and tools appropriate to the job. The position offers an opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team working on a variety of equipment and assets, where you will have the opportunity to embrace curiosity and develop new skills outside of your normal day to day activities. Any additional technical training required will also be covered.
The role has great core working hours Monday to Friday, and the successful candidate will also participate in a 24/7 stand-by rota.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
Having experience in Working in a mechanical / electrical environment would be advantageous and working with chemical processes would be beneficial.
A full valid UK driving licence would be required for the role.
Depending on experience, the successful candidate will be required to complete and achieve either; a technical skills bootcamp or Level 2 Water Process Operator apprenticeship, which are delivered internally by our Academy.
