As our new Performance and Assurance Lead, you’ll be accountable for consistently monitoring performance and assurance, driving continuous improvements across construction, program, and design areas. You will oversee the governance of Finance & Performance data and reporting, challenge the broader mains renewal programme to enhance budget efficiency and health & safety standards.
Key Accountabilities:- Line manage 5 Performance and Assurance managers, oversee training assurance, and ensure compliance with H&S, CDM, WQ, and HGV O’licence regulations.
- Accountable for updating and reviewing SOPs and SSOW, monitoring H&S safety compliance, and ensuring financial governance and reporting across the mains renewal programme.
- Manage audit and assurance processes, including regular construction site audits.
- Oversee performance data, provide finance and performance packs to management teams, and focus on key and financial performance for the Mains Renewal programme.
- Manage construction team resourcing and time allocation to schemes.
- Work with other Business Leaders within Mains Renewal to manage overall finance and performance.
- Ensure a consistent approach across the organisation, with a significant impact on budget, performance monitoring, and key water industry regulations.
For this role, the right candidate will have experience delivering financial and operational success and managing a large budget. Ideally, you will also have experience working within the Water Industry and have excellent communication, influencing, and people skills to collaborate with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders. As travel is required, you’ll also need to hold a full U.K driving license. Skills and experience are important, but character, positivity, and a caring attitude matter too.
