Our Water Treatment team have a great opportunity to join as our new Maintenance Electrical Technician in the Nottinghamshire area on a six‑month fixed term contract. You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of electrical/automation assets which are key to ensuring treatment plants and water distribution processes are operating efficiently whilst maintaining quality outputs. The role is pivotal in assisting the Water Treatment Team to meet tough local and company‑wide targets around quality, continuous supply, safety and cost control.
In the role of Maintenance Technician, you will be expected to utilise electrical knowledge and skills to maintain electrical plant to optimise equipment reliability, maintainability and asset/process performance. As a member of the team, you will be responsible for the reactive and proactive maintenance of electrical, instrumentation and automation across the area. A company van and fuel card will be provided along with all tools and specialist equipment required to carry out the role. Any additional technical training required will also be covered and great working hours too (Monday - Thursday 7.30am-3.30pm and Friday 7.30am-3pm). The successful candidate will participate in a 24/7 stand‑by rota.
Your key accountabilities will include:
- Maintaining industrial electrical equipment – fault finding, installation and routine maintenance on the following industrial electrical equipment types:
- Motor Starters
- Variable Speed Drives
- Electrical control circuits (relays, contactors, timers etc.)
- Domestic electrical circuits (heating, lighting and plugs)
We’re seeking our new Electrical Technician to have obtained a NVQ level 3 qualification in the related subject and have 18th Edition. Furthermore, C&G 2391 Electrical Inspection and Testing would be advantageous. A full UK driving licence will be required for the role. The right skills and experience are important.
