In this role you will investigate water quality issues and provide expert technical guidance to a wide range of stakeholders. You will support major capital schemes with water quality input and maintain strong hygiene controls. Youβll deliver 24/7 water quality support as part of the Public Health and Standards team, balancing customer updates with rigorous analysis. Responsibilities
- Assess risk and define response to water quality issues (sample result failures, operational events, complex complaints)
- Advise stakeholders across operations and customer care on water quality matters
- Act as a primary contact for customers with complex water quality issues and provide progress updates
- Facilitate Root Cause Analysis sessions across complex water quality issues
- Build relationships with public health professionals and advocate for water quality and public health protection
- Provide expert water quality input during delivery of major capital schemes
- Support ongoing 24/7 water quality operations as part of the Public Health and Standards team
Key requirements
- Understanding of drinking water quality standards and principles of water treatment
- Strong communication skills with customers and a broad range of internal/external stakeholders
- Degree in a scientific or engineering subject
