We are currently looking for a Standards Specialist with a focus on Instrumentation Control & Automation (ICA). You will be based at our Finham office in Coventry, and work within our Asset Strategy and Planning team. This is an excellent opportunity for somebody from an ICA engineering background looking to progress professionally through influencing both company and industry standards.
Working with both internal and external stakeholders, the role will drive continuous improvement, ensuring best practice is captured and innovation is introduced to technical asset standards in a managed, measurable way. For this reason, it is key that you have proven experience in being able to communicate at all levels of our business and with the supply chain. You’ll develop and manage the company’s asset standards and contribute to the development and sustainability of the company’s assets.
The successful candidate will possess knowledge and experience in process control, automation and visualisation, including PLCs, HMIs, instrumentation and SCADA systems. They will also have expertise in process safety, particularly in relation to DSEAR, as well as a strong understanding of industrial networks and network architecture. In addition, familiarity with operational technology cyber security, telemetry and communications is essential.
In addition to this core knowledge, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication skills enabling them to ‘make the complex simple’ for stakeholders via:
