Join Severn Trent’s Capital Commercial Department to support the construction of the Waste Treatment programme. The role can be based from any of our capital hubs – Shrewsbury, Derby or Coventry.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with project stakeholders to develop effective procurement strategies.
- Evaluate different procurement routes and recommend the most suitable approach (direct award or mini‑competition).
- Ensure procurement processes align with project goals, budget and internal governance.
- Lead contract negotiations, drafting NEC4 Option A, C and E contracts and securing favourable terms.
- Administer NEC4 contracts throughout the project lifecycle, assessing interim and final payment applications.
- Maintain comprehensive records of project‑related financial data and support project managers in compensations and cost control.
- Manage framework documents, works orders, secondment agreements, e‑sourcing and SAP as part of the supply‑chain partnership.
Qualifications
- Experienced Quantity Surveyor with pre‑contract or procurement experience.
- Strong organisational and communication skills; proven ability to influence stakeholders and manage relationships.
- Self‑reliance and initiative – able to meet tight deadlines and prioritise workloads.
- Full UK driver’s licence required, as travel is expected.
