Due to an exciting new programme which is going to see us deliver for our customers a full mains renewal across our region over the next few years, we are now on a significant recruitment drive to scale our teams to deliver this fantastic work. Key Accountabilities
- This role will establish and guide the strategy for the entire Severn Trent area, collaborating closely with other Business Leaders to drive and successfully implement the overall AMP8 Mains Relay strategy.
- Budget control of £418.5m, which is both direct and indirect. Some elements of budgetary control are unquantifiable (e.g. the cost of failure) but will be able to confirm budgets (direct) at the point the business case is signed off.
- The role holder will closely manage spend profiles for schemes across the programme, ensuring that scope creep and slippage are mitigated.
- Overall responsibility for a team of up to 45 people, including 4 Senior programme managers, 1 customer comms manager and their teams (9 people in each). Direct people management responsibility for a team of 5 people.
- Chair executive meetings effectively to collate views, develop actions and deliver outcomes.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- Experience of successfully managing, motivating and leading a large technical team.
- Experience dealing with CDM Regulations and significant experience working with a utility-based industry.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and people skills to collaborate with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
- A full U.K driving license is required as travel is necessary.
- A caring attitude and positivity are valued alongside the right skills and experience.
