We have an opportunity to join the Office of CIO as a Planning & Assurance Analyst. In this role, you’ll help the technology department stay well planned and in control by carrying out planning and assurance services and activities. You’ll proactively plan and assure adherence to policies, standards and processes, provide high-quality reporting, track performance, and drive improvements.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out assurance with all teams across the department
- Producing assurance reports and analysis of findings
- Tracking next steps to ensure continuous improvement of the department
- Governance reporting and analysis, and production of management updates
- Administration support for governance meetings
- Supporting Business Continuity planning and testing
- Administration of the Process and Standards library
Location, team and working pattern
You’ll be based at our Severn Trent Centre head office in Coventry. You’ll work within our dedicated Planning & Assurance team of 12. We’re looking for someone who can join us 37 hours a week, working Monday to Friday.

Requirements
- Experience of working in a technology department with administration and analysis support in a similar role
- Awareness of planning & assurance and the benefits
- Proficiency in MS Office and SharePoint administration
- Understanding of governance and assurance; ability to create reports and presentations
- Good internal customer service and ability to manage expectations of multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of Service Management and Risk Management toolsets is highly beneficial
- Excellent communication, time management, prioritisation, organisation, and attention to detail
- Positive attitude, empathy, and a collaborative mindset; ability to contribute to an inclusive, diverse environment
