Would you like to be involved in delivering the data strategy for a FTSE 100 company? In the Office of Data that’s just what we’re doing; building both our strategy for data and our governance and management framework to support it. We use our data for all manner of critical reporting, processes and decision making to help deliver water and take away waste from our millions of customers every day. Our new framework will ensure we have a comprehensive view of how data is currently used and its future intent to identify and resolve data related issues and to maximise our ability to deliver data related opportunities.
As one of the Office of Data team you’ll be a key component to the future success of the team.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLEYou’ll join the team with strong data skills, including a good understanding of data modelling, high data literacy, knowledge of how different data can be related, improved, used, and applied, and the ability to manipulate and investigate large volumes of data, with excellent bespoke reporting skills. To be successful, you’ll need strong interpersonal, negotiation, and influencing skills with experience of stakeholder management. You’ll have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into non-technical terms. Finally, you should be able to complete appropriate high-level analysis, evaluation and modelling to ensure we understand and identify risks, issues and opportunities relating to the provision or use of data, and be able to source, collect and extract data that is accurate and fit for purpose.
