EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

We are looking for an Improvement Specialist to join our team, that covers our Regional Distribution Centres, Pump Workshops and Hire Service teams. We’ll be looking for you to work alongside the team managers to seek areas that require process and system changes which align to their business plans, as well as being responsible for delivering the change and ensuring improved performance is realised. You’ll also be expected to be aligned to advancements in technology within the supply chain world. Armed with this information, you’ll promote beneficial system advancements and implement them into the business.

Other Key Accountabilities include:-

  • A thought leader within this operation and a high degree of expertise of supply chain processes and high proficiency of SAP systems.
  • Mange own workload, ensure an annual portfolio of activity for delivery ready built. Create a mechanism to display progress on delivery to management team and measurement of success post-delivery.
  • Build a scoring matrix to ensure the right initiatives are being delivered, seek collective agreement/buy- in from the Supply Chain management team prior to proceeding.
  • Due to the fast-paced environment on supply chain, ensure initiatives are delivered on time and to budget.
  • Work within the Supply Chain management team, ensuring we are moving towards our strategic direction and stay true to our 4 key principles.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

To be successful in the role we’ll be looking for you to have a strong process improvement background ideally from within the supply chain or operations world as this this allow you to hit the round running. Knowledge of change management and the ability to provide analytical thinking to the room would be fantastic as would strong facilitation and communication skills. Ideally you will have a high system proficiency levels particularly SAP AO; Macro creation; Power automate; Power BI; Power apps;

Having experience of analysing data that can be used to drive organisational strategy, and making suitable recommendations from data analytics & diagnostics will be highly appreciated as would your ability to influence stakeholders at all levels and a sense of commercial acumen.
