Join Our Team as a Bioresources Solution Manager!

In Bioresources, our mission is to create value for our business and customers by delivering the most cost-effective solutions for treating sewage bioresources. We are looking for a dynamic Bioresources Solution Manager to help us grow our bioresources business and maintain our high performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:You\’ll be delivering commercial solutions for Bioresources activities during the current and future Asset Management Period. This includes developing business cases for new strategic assets to handle increases in quality and growth from our Wastewater programme. You\’ll also create early-stage costings for the Bioresources Price Review Process, identify opportunities and develop business cases for new technologies and delivery methods. Additionally, you\’ll develop engineering solutions for new challenges in the Bioresources strategy, create engineering business cases for commercial opportunities within the Bioresources team, and liaise with Asset Creation to ensure the accurate delivery of designed and approved solutions.

Role Objective:To deliver engineering and capital investment solutions that enable the Bioresources department to meet its regulatory and growth expectations. This includes developing solutions focused on anaerobic digestion (AD), energy generation, and the growth of incoming waste.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Some of your key accountabilities include:

  • Deliver Solutions: Address challenges from an ageing asset base and growing population demand. Develop new technologies to reduce treatment costs and ensure effective delivery methods.
  • Strategic Development: Write business cases for AMP 8/9 funding, evaluate capital schemes, and develop target prices and contracts with contractors.
  • Project Management: Identify asset needs for commercial waste projects, co-manage projects with Asset Creation, and support the development of Works Information and Contract data.
  • Regulatory and Environmental Compliance: Manage feasibility studies, develop planning permissions, coordinate EA permitting requirements, and arrange Environmental Impact Assessments.
  • Optimization: Identify best-fit energy solutions for revenue and oversee pre-construction surveys and connection agreements.
