If you’re ready to elevate your career with a company recognised for its excellence and employee satisfaction, then this could be the opportunity for you.
Everything You Need To Know
We’re seeking a highly capable and proactive Executive Assistant to provide dedicated support to our Director of Operations. This is a pivotal role within a dynamic and fast-paced environment, requiring exceptional organisational skills, a strong sense of initiative, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and professionalism.
This is not your typical Executive Assistant position. We’re looking for someone who goes far beyond traditional administrative support — someone who is deeply embedded in the rhythm of the business and committed to supporting not only the Director of Operations but also her wider leadership team. You’ll be at the heart of a fast-moving, always-on environment, where flexibility, emotional intelligence, and a proactive mindset are key. If you’re the kind of person who anticipates needs, adapts quickly, and builds strong relationships with ease, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.
In this role you’ll also be responsible for managing and supporting a small team of Personal Assistants, helping them stay aligned, motivated, and high-performing.
Some Of Your Other Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Providing comprehensive administrative support to the Director of Operations, including diary management, meeting coordination, and travel arrangements.
- Acting as a key point of contact, ensuring effective communication and follow-up across internal and external stakeholders.
- Assisting with the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for operational meetings and strategic initiatives.
- Proactively managing competing priorities and anticipating the needs of the Director, to ensure seamless day-to-day operations.
- Supporting the execution of special projects and operational initiatives, often working cross-functionally with other departments.
What You’ll Bring To The Role
- Demonstrated experience in a similar Executive Assistant or high-level administrative role.
- Previous team management experience is essential, as you’ll be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing team of Personal Assistants.
- Exceptionally organised, with a meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- The ability to create calm in the chaos, bringing structure, clarity, and confidence to a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- Ambitious and eager to grow within a fast-moving organisation.
- Naturally curious, with a desire to understand the broader business context and contribute meaningfully.
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of professionalism and discretion.
What’s In It For You
- Salary starting from £40,677
- 28 days holiday + bank holidays (and the ability to buy/sell up to 5 days per year)
- Annual bonus scheme (of up to £2,250 per annum based on company performance)
- Leading pension scheme – we will double your contribution (up to 15% when you contribute 7.5%)
- Sharesave – the chance to buy Severn Trent Plc shares at a discounted rate
- Dedicated training and development with our ‘Academy’
- Electric vehicle scheme and retail offers
- Family friendly policies (including, a year off fully paid maternity and adoption leave)
- Two volunteering days per year
At Severn Trent, you’ll be joining a culture that cares, one that works together to achieve, grow, and develop. And when it comes to our employee engagement scores – they’re some of the highest of energy and utility companies globally, and we believe that is down to our wonderful culture, created by our wonderful people.
