We are looking for a highly motivated, quality driven, ambitious and results orientated individual to take on an extremely successful patch, which offers an excellent opportunity for someone who is keen to develop their career with us. Candidates should ideally have at least 3 to 5 years of proven success and experience in medical device sales, with knowledge of the Neurosurgical market being a distinct advantage.
With a high degree of autonomy and engagement in the business expected of our area managers, a candidate needs to have an organised and disciplined approach to territory and account management and have a hunger for success. The role is a highly rewarding one which requires the promotion of, sales and support of products across the portfolio with a particular emphasis on Neurosurgery and Otology. You will be selling to all levels within the hospital environment, and will be equally as comfortable in an Operating Theatre as you will be in a Theatre Management environment. You will be selling to Consultant Surgeons and their wider theatre teams, Neuro Technicians, Neuro Team Leaders and Neuro Physiology.

Responsibilities of the role include:
- The promotion and sales of the Severn Healthcare product portfolio in line with the Company strategy.
- Selling across the range where possible: no product "favourites" or "orphans".
- Adoption of the broader and deeper approach: maximum account penetration with the portfolio and increasing the established user base as the account develops.
- Managing the territory effectively and intelligently to maximise sales opportunities and growth.
- Developing strong and lasting customer relationships which will drive growth and promote/enhance Severn's standing in the marketplace.
- Reporting of any relevant market/competitor/customer information to the senior management team in a timely manner.
- Being prompt and diligent in personal admin: be that expenses, reporting or responding to internal and customer queries.
- Representation of Severn at key meetings and congresses.
Requirements include:
- Solid sales experience within medical devices, with a proven record of achievement.
- Based in Scotland and familiar with travelling in the regions across Scotland.
- Capable of selling complex products in a competitive market.
- An understanding of the neuro-otology product range.
- A good understanding of the Company and management strategies.
- Being driven, ambitious and with a strong desire to succeed.
- Sound product and competitor knowledge.
- A highly disciplined, organised and effective approach to territory management.
- Active input at sales meetings and congresses and a strategic outlook on management of the territory; always considering the implications for the wider business.
