Overview

In this Production Chargehand role, you’ll own a designated production area within our factory, driving smooth, on-time delivery. You’ll lead hands-on, coordinating the team, materials, and safety standards to meet daily targets. You will coach colleagues on new tasks, interpret fabrication drawings, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position combines leadership with technical focus on structural steel welding, shaping high-quality outcomes for major projects. You will work in a collaborative, inclusive environment at a company known for delivering landmark skylines across the UK and Europe.

Responsibilities

  • Visually inspect work before progressing materials to the next stage
  • Be responsible for your own work targets and follow instructions on drawings
  • Ensure the team work efficiently
  • Report issues with materials or the team to the Team Leader or Production Manager
  • Monitor the work area to uphold health and safety standards
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on new tasks and procedures
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying process improvements and implementing changes

Key requirements
