Working Hours for this role are – Monday-Thursday 06:45-17:00 and Friday 06:45-11:45. Severfield is creating better ways to build for a world of changing demands and is seeking production staff to support our Commercial & Industrial division, which designs, fabricates, and constructs structural steelwork for various sectors.

Severfield has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each site provides full-service capabilities with modern manufacturing processes and a strong market reputation across Europe. Our teams continue to set the bar high in a highly complex market.

Vacancy Details and Responsibilities

  • In the Production Operative position you will sort materials and organise internal movements from one place to another, ensuring the factory is fed materials, goods in and out, using Ficep machines.
  • Organise and maintain the goods in and dispatch areas and liaise with team leaders to organise the movement of materials. You will also be responsible for marking up materials on arrival and passing the location information onto production control, and loading finished items onto trailers for dispatch.
  • Demonstrate an excellent understanding of Health and Safety policies, and be responsible for pre-use safety checks on machines, cranes, and mobile plant.
  • Required experience: 2 years in a manufacturing background, ideally a logistical background. Excellent organisational and communication skills are required.
