In this role you will maintain and improve our IT infrastructure, spanning on-premises and cloud environments. You will combine 3rd line support with project delivery, working across Windows, Linux, Entra ID/Azure, and Docker to keep systems reliable and secure. You’ll collaborate with internal teams to plan and execute IT initiatives that support business goals. Responsibilities
- Provide 3rd line support for day-to-day IT operations and act as escalation point for complex issues
- Maintain and manage Windows and Linux servers for performance and security
- Administer Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including identity and access management, Conditional Access, MFA and hybrid identity
- Deploy, manage and secure Azure resources (VMs, networking, storage, backups)
- Build, deploy and maintain containerised applications with Docker
- Oversee and configure network infrastructure (firewalls, routers, switches)
- Handle system upgrades, patches, and new installations across on-premises and cloud environments
- Lead IT infrastructure projects from design to deployment
- Troubleshoot complex issues across platforms
- Monitor system performance for uptime and reliability
- Maintain IT documentation and share knowledge within the team
Key requirements
- Minimum 3 years in an IT Systems Administrator/Engineer role with 3rd line support
- Strong Windows and Linux server management and troubleshooting
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Azure administration (hybrid)
- Practical experience with Docker and containerised workloads
- Hands-on experience with Cisco/FortiGate firewalls, routers and switches
- Solid understanding of networking protocols, VPNs and security best practices
- Familiarity with virtualisation technologies (VMware)
- Excellent problem-solving, communication and teamwork skills
