Vacancy DetailsThis is a busy role where you will be managing and leading a team of employees, communicating company goals, safety practices and deadlines to the team, whilst working closely with the Production Managers. You'll be playing a big part in motivating the team and assessing performances. You'll also be involved in the training of new members and existing members of the team and updating the managers with any training needs. Part of your role will be to ensure that all members within your team work safely and efficiently and are deployed in the correct areas to maximise outputs and quality in a cost-effective manner in accordance with laid down targets. You'll be delivering toolbox talks to employees and contractors as and when necessary, and ensure that all PPE is available, used and maintained by employees and keep a record of issues and maintenance where appropriate. You'll need to have previous knowledge of the day to day running in a steel fabrication environment, and you'll need to have appropriate trade/operational training and qualifications.
