Severfield is seeking a Machine Operator for a night shift position based in Ballinamallard. The role involves operating an automated CNC system to produce steel sections, ensuring quality and safety throughout the fabrication process.

Work Hours
Monday to Thursday, 6.30pm – 6.30am.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain processing of steel sections through an automated CNC system.
  • Set up machine with correct material and tools and fit appropriate tools to programme requirements.
  • Check blades, drill, and other consumables for suitability and replace when necessary.
  • Ensure that finished products are safely passed to the next stage of the fabrication process.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Good understanding of health and safety practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic technical drawings and CNC data (beneficial).
  • Knowledge of how to use overhead cranes (beneficial).
