We have a fantastic opportunity for a Document Controller to join our team, based in Lostock, Bolton. Working hours for this role are 8.15 - 17.00 Monday - Thursday, 8.15 - 15.00 Friday, and hybrid working is available.

In the Document Controller position, you will be ensuring the smooth flow of information between our design team and various departments across the business.

Responsibilities:
  • Collate and distribute design information internally and externally.
  • Maintain accurate records using project-specific numbering systems.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure traceability within our Quality Management System.
  • Upload drawings and models to portals in line with contractual naming protocols.
  • Download and distribute client documents (drawings, specifications) to relevant departments.
  • Record document status (e.g., for approval) and produce reports when required.
  • Prepare construction packages for site teams, including laminating documents.
  • Compile policies and health & safety documentation.
  • Monitor compliance with document protocols and flag discrepancies.
  • Use and manage training portals effectively.
Key Skills & Experience:
  • Strong organisational and time management skills to handle high volumes of work.
  • IT literate, with the ability to navigate multiple portals and systems.
  • Good communication skills and a disciplined approach to tasks.
  • Experience in document control within a construction or engineering environment is desirable.
