Overview
As Head of Finance at Severfield in Enniskillen, you will lead the NI finance function reporting to the European Finance Director. You will oversee financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, treasury, and statutory compliance to enable strategic decision-making. You’ll collaborate with commercial and project teams to ensure accurate revenue, cost, and profit recognition, while driving controls and transformation. This role offers scope to shape cross‑jurisdictional financial processes within a leading steelwork group. Responsibilities
- Lead financial reporting for 2/3 UK and European legal entities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery
- Oversee annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and regular financial analysis
- Collaborate with commercial and operational project teams to ensure accurate revenue, cost and profit recognition
- Manage statutory accounts and external reporting requirements
- Support cross‑jurisdictional VAT, Tax and Compliance, working with group tax
- Lead cash flow forecasting and ensure control of working capital
- Act as the primary contact for internal/external auditors and third‑party professionals
- Drive process improvements, finance controls, and finance transformation initiatives
- Develop and enforce accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate financial risk
- Management of finance team across various locations
Key requirements
- ACA or ACCA qualified
- Significant experience in financial reporting, forecasting and cost management
- Experience in cash and working capital management
- Strong technical knowledge of statutory reporting, audit processes and tax compliance
- Exposure to cross‑jurisdictional compliance is desirable
- Proven leader with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Advanced Excel and financial systems expertise
