This role can be based at any of our construction sites across the UK, including our satellite sites, providing flexibility to suit business needs. We have a fantastic opportunity for a Site Manager. Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education. The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing site-based activities safely, efficiently, within budget, and on schedule. You will ensure all work aligns with company procedures, best practices, statutory legislation, and contractual obligations.
- Managing project programmes, monitoring site progress, and taking action to meet deadlines for on-time project delivery.
- Acting as the primary point of contact for clients, managing expectations, and supporting the Project Team in meetings.
- Overseeing labour and plant equipment levels to maintain operational efficiency.
- Ensuring full compliance with safety regulations across all construction activities.
At Severfield, safety is paramount and embedded in every aspect of our work. Therefore, this role requires a strong commitment to health and safety standards. You will also need to obtain full security clearance if you do not already hold it.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
- A construction-related degree (or equivalent) with relevant industry experience.
- CSCS Card
- NVQ Level 5 or 6
- Qualified in the Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS)
- MEWP certification
- Previous site management experience within the steelwork industry.
