Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education. The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors.
As a Paintshop Operative you will be responsible for applying protective coatings to steelwork in accordance with specified standards and requirements. This role ensures that all steel components are prepared, coated, and finished to the highest quality, supporting durability and compliance with industry specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect steelwork to confirm blast profile and surface cleanliness prior to coating application.
- Verify wet film thickness and ensure coatings meet required specifications.
- Review job specifications to confirm correct product selection, masking details, and overcoat intervals.
- Apply protective coatings using appropriate tools and equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the paint line and associated equipment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role
- ICorr certification (preferred).
- NVQ Level 2 in Industrial Painting (preferred).
