We have a fantastic opportunity for a Health & Safety Training Team Leader to join our team on a 12-month, fixed-term contract.

In the Health & Safety Training Team Leader position you will lead the development and delivery of operational safety training across our factory and construction environments.

This is a key role focused on ensuring our people have the knowledge, skills, and behaviours needed to work safely, helping to reduce risk and embed a strong safety culture across the business.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of H&S trainers, ensuring high-quality and consistent delivery
  • Identify training needs through analysis of risk, compliance requirements, and operational gaps
  • Design and deliver engaging, practical training that promotes safe working behaviours
  • Work closely with operational leaders, site teams, and SHE partners to align training with business priorities
  • Manage external training providers, ensuring quality, compliance, and value for money
  • Monitor training effectiveness using data, feedback, and insights, driving continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate training records and support improvements to processes and systems
  • Carry out workplace assessments, reinforcing standards and addressing non-compliance through coaching

Key skills and experience:

  • IPAF and RTITB qualifications (or equivalent) is essential
  • Training or L&D qualification (e.g. Level 3 AET, or equivalent) is desired
  • Strong Health & Safety training experience in manufacturing and/or construction
  • Proven experience managing and developing a training team
  • Expertise in lifting operations, plant, and machinery training
  • Good understanding of risk management and compliance
  • Confident engaging stakeholders and delivering impactful training

As part of this role, you will be required to travel to our sites, which occasionally could include travel to Europe. Therefore, you will need a full, UK Driving Licence. You may also be occasionally asked to work the night shift to provide training.
