We have a fantastic opportunity for Welder/Fabricators to join our Modular Solutions division. This will be based at our site in Sherburn until our move to Malton in Spring 2026.

Severfield Modular Solutions offers a market-leading suite of products, including an expanding range of modular products to cater to diverse needs, including ‘Severstor’ units (robust, steel-framed modules that house critical systems equipment such as electrical switchgear) and ‘Rotoflo’ technology (a well-established high-efficient and controlled discharge system representing a major advance in materials handling technology).
From its facility in Sherburn, it also provides a one-stop shop for steel products and processing service using our extensive range of equipment and allows us to address smaller scale projects. They continue to setbar highin their niche market!
Key Responsibilities of the role:
- To be responsible for checking components match bill of quantity on fabrication drawing and are of the correct size and shape
- To accurately check orientation of material is correct to technical drawing ensuring the build is the correct way up.
- To be responsible for component landing positions and marking out accurately where these pieces are to be placed
- Notch manually where needed
- To be responsible for recording their ID number to material for accurate traceability
- To be confident in more complex work such as Jig or the use of surveying systems
- Building Modular units and components from Engineered drawings.
- To be able to dress product, removing any sharp edges using griding techniques
- To be responsible for checking quality of own work, cleaning down steel ready for Paint and check material for defects or spatter
Key Skills & experience
We are looking for someone with an NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication and Welding or equivalent experience, with previous experience in a manufacturing environment. Previous experience of modular building/coach building would be preferable.
