We have a fantastic opportunity for a Project Manager to join the team, based out of either York or Scarborough offices. Working hours for this role are Monday - Thursday: 08:15-16:40 and Friday: 08:15-13:15, with hybrid working.
In the Project Manager position you will manage the resources necessary to successfully complete projects to the entire satisfaction of our customers. Deliver business objectives efficiently, within budget and to schedule, consistent with Company Procedures, good practice and Statutory Legislation within our contractual obligations.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Liaising with senior management team to ensure the required and correct resources are provided to deliver projects.
- Using all the tools and resources necessary to ensure the agreed project programmes are maintained, with milestones met and reported.
- Review and forecast project budgets within the business.
- Approve any changes to the scope of work or programme on each project.
- Ensure that the companies project process is followed and any possible improvements are detailed.
Key Skills & experience
To be successful in this role you’ll need to have a construction related degree or equivalent with construction experience with hands on experience in a Project Manager position within the steelwork industry. You will be a strong and effective communicator as regular liaison with main contractors, clients, and other professionals, as well as in house departments is a key part of this role. At Severfield, safety is paramount and is embedded in all aspects of our work, therefore an essential part of this role is to ensure safety compliance of all the construction elements under your control.
