Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education. The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors.

In the Quantity Surveyor position you will play a key role in supporting the Quantity Surveying department, ensuring that the commercial and contractual aspects of complex projects are effectively managed and controlled to meet business demands. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Providing expert guidance on all commercial aspects throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Preparing and submitting monthly interim valuations to maintain positive cash flow.
  • Managing the financial aspects of subcontract packages, including steel erection, cladding, and metal decking.
  • Overseeing cost control, value reporting, and cash flow forecasting to keep projects on track.

Key Skills & experience:

  • Qualification in Quantity Surveyor or similar.
  • Strong contractual knowledge and a solid understanding of commercial project management.
  • Experience handling complex projects is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset with excellent cost management skills.
