Senior Quantity Surveyor based at our Sellafield Westlakes site. In this role, you will take the lead on commercial and contractual management of Client‑facing contracts in addition to a range of subcontract packages, including steel erection, cladding and metal decking. You’ll be responsible for managing cost control, monitoring commercial performance, and ensuring accurate and timely cost/value reporting and cash‑flow forecasting. To succeed, you’ll need strong contractual awareness with a solid understanding of NEC3/NEC4, particularly Options A and C, alongside experience using standard methods of measurement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage commercial and financial aspects of live contracts and subcontract packages.
- Oversee cost reporting, forecasting and CVR processes.
- Timely and effective change management and agreements.
- Ensure compliance with NEC3/NEC4 (Options A & C) and relevant measurement standards.
- Manage subcontractor payments, variations and compensation events.
- Support project teams with contractual advice and commercial leadership.
- Maintain accurate commercial documentation and audit‑ready records.
- Contribute to risk management, cost control and project performance reporting.
Key Skills and Experience
- Significant experience in a Quantity Surveying role.
- Proven experience managing and controlling projects within nuclear and/or defence sectors.
- Strong knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts (Options A & C).
- Familiarity with standard methods of measurement.
- Preferably, detailed knowledge of the structural steel industry and its technical requirements.
- Excellent communication, analytical and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi‑disciplinary team.
