Our Nuclear & Infrastructure division has extensive experience in the specialist, highly regulated nuclear, transport (road and rail), process industries and power and energy sectors. Providing award-winning design teams, utilising state-of-the-art design software and Tekla detailing facilities to offer customers value engineering. This gives a mix of proven success along with modern, innovative design and fabrication ideas to provide a quality, specialised service to a growing market.
In the Senior Quantity Surveyor (HPC) position, you will be working on high value and critical projects, building relationships with a range of high-profile clients which service the defence, nuclear, oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. Other responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Ensuring the successful commercial outcome of key nuclear and defence projects
- Commercial responsibility from contract award through to completion and final account
- Managing variations and changes with customers
- Working as part of an experienced commercial team
- Developing key relations with a range of clients, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Working closely with internal departments to ensure successful, profitable outcomes
Key Skills & Experience:
- Previous experience working as a QS or Senior QS
- Construction industry experience in a commercial role
- Strong experience of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts
- Good communication skills with the ability to influence
- An understanding of fabrication processes is desirable
- Experience of managing and delivering variations whilst retaining repeat business
