We have a fantastic opportunity for a Paintshop Operative to join our Commercial & Industrial Division, based at our site in Ballinamallard. Our Commercial & Industrial division designs, fabricates and constructs structural steelwork for a variety of different sectors including commercial offices, stadia & leisure, industrial & distribution, data centres, retail and health and education. The division has manufacturing sites in three locations: Dalton, Lostock, and Enniskillen. Each has full-service capabilities and modern manufacturing processes enabling us to provide a high-quality product to a variety of different sectors.

In this role, you will be responsible for applying protective coatings to steelwork according to precise specifications as it progresses through our factory.

• Preparation: Ensure that the steel pieces have the correct blast profile and are clean, free from contaminants, and ready for the application of protective coatings.
• Application: Apply the appropriate protective coatings to the steelwork, ensuring that all products are applied to the correct thickness and meet the specified standards.
• Quality Control: Measure and verify the wet film thickness of the coatings to confirm that they meet the required specifications. Check the finished product for any defects and ensure a high‑quality finish is achieved.
• Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment, including the proper handling and storage of coating materials and equipment.

• Previous experience in a similar role, specifically working with steelwork and protective coatings.
• Familiarity with the use of coating equipment and tools.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow specifications accurately.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and supervisors.
