We have a fantastic opportunity for a Machine Operator to join our team, based on‑site in Ballinamallard. This is a night shift position, and the working hours are: Monday to Thursday 6.30pm - 6.30am.
As a Machine Operator, it is your responsibility to monitor and maintain the processing of steel sections through an automated CNC system, ensuring that a quality product is safely passed to the next stage of Severfield’s fabrication process. In this role you will be responsible for:
- Monitoring machine progress with programmes
- Ensuring the machine is set up with the correct material and tools
- Fitting the correct tools to the programme requirements
- Checking blades, drill and other consumables are fit for purpose and replacing them when required
To be successful in this role it’s essential you have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and have a good understanding of health and safety. It would be beneficial if you can read and interpret basic technical drawings and CNC data. It would also be beneficial if you had knowledge of how to use overhead cranes.
