Play differently. Coach differently.
Sevenoaks Football Academy (SFA) is an independent, high-performance football club developing young players through individual and futsal training. We believe first touch is the most important skill in modern football: a better touch buys time, and time leads to better decisions. That’s why every one of our sessions is built around one thing: getting the ball at players’ feet as often as possible.
We’re growing fast, including our new dedicated U11 girls’ team, and we’re looking for passionate coaches to join our team straight away.
What makes SFA different
We don’t just run drills. Our players train with futsal every week to sharpen ball control and decision-making before they move to the full-size pitch at 12. We use virtual reality (VR) tools to build scanning and game awareness, and reaction lights to improve processing speed. We also offer 1-to-1 and small-group training, video analysis and international tournaments. With 2 coaches per group, every player gets real attention.
The role
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-touch sessions for players aged U7–U12
- Lead futsal and small-sided sessions focused on first touch, ball mastery and decision-making
- Use our technology (VR training tools and reaction lights) as part of sessions
- Support individual player development through 1-to-1 and small-group work
- Help run in-house competitions, futsal festivals and trial sessions
- Work alongside our Director of Football and coaching team to uphold the SFA philosophy
What we’re looking for
- A UEFA coaching licence, or FA qualifications with a commitment to working towards one
- Experience coaching young players, ideally with futsal knowledge
- A genuine belief in individual development over winning for the sake of it
- Great communication with players and parents
- An enhanced DBS check and safeguarding / first aid certificates (or willingness to obtain them)
- Reliability, energy and an open mind; we live by our principles: Gain Confidence, Be Open to Learning, Stay Disciplined
Bonus: Goalkeeper specialist?
We’re also looking for a GK specialist coach to launch dedicated goalkeeper training. If that’s you, we’d especially love to hear from you.
You’ll be part of an ambitious young academy with a clear vision: to develop the footballers of the future. Our plans include entering the Kent FA league system and, ultimately, the JPL once we have our own facilities. It’s a great time to come in and help shape where we go next.
