Main Purpose Of The Role: To maximise the sales and profit of the depot to agreed targets, whilst providing service excellence to the customer base.

Location: Sevenday - Swindon

Reporting to: Regional Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operational running of the depot in accordance with the Company handbook.
  • Ensure that the depot is opened on time and is always staffed during the agreed hours of business.
  • Process all orders and quotes accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Check and sign for all goods received, filing relevant paperwork as per operational procedures. Report any shortages/issues immediately.
  • Provide excellent customer service and maintain good working relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Deal with all customer complaints and queries in a timely manner and report to relevant departments as per operational procedures.
  • Exceed individual sales and profit targets with assistance from Area Sales Managers.
  • Manage Debtors Control, ensuring existing customers keep within agreed payment terms and explain payment terms to new customers.
  • Conduct weekly Debtors meetings with the Accounts Department/Operational Manager.
  • Complete and submit all weekly and monthly reporting correctly and on time.
  • Review the profitability of the depot continually and ensure all expenditure is within the Depot Budget.
  • Ensure all goods delivered or collected are dealt with as per company procedures, with despatch notes signed by each customer.
  • Support the Operational Manager in ensuring drivers/assistants fulfil their roles and responsibilities.
  • Maintain good housekeeping standards, keeping both office and storage spaces clean and organised.
  • Ensure all company vehicles associated with the branch are regularly maintained and kept clean.
  • Support Area Sales Managers in advertising, canvassing, and mail shots to attract new customers as per the Sales and Marketing plan.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: Competitive

Supplemental pay types: Bonus scheme – OTE £40k per annum minimum
