Reporting to: Depot Manager

Location: York (YO32)

Position: Full-time: 42.5 hours per week

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30am - 4:30pm

Salary: OTE £32,000 per annum

Our depot managers are industry experts who understand your challenges and speak your language, whilst saving you money on some of the best products available on the market!

As an Assistant Depot Manager, you will work as part of a close-knit team, supporting the Manager with the day-to-day running of the Depot including quotes, order processing, providing a high level of customer service and overseeing goods in and out of the Depot.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage stock turnaround & the day-to-day runnings of the depot
  • Banking/Cash handling/Cash on delivery
  • Process quotes and orders in line with customer expectations and specifications
  • Cross selling and up-selling of product range
  • Determining prices alongside the depot manager to maximise operating margins
  • Dealing with customers in a polite, positive and professional manner
  • Providing technical support/advice where applicable with support from the Depot Manager
  • Proactively manage stock turnaround
  • Ensure invoicing is completed in a timely fashion
  • Oversee goods in and out practicing the Company’s safety and quality procedures
  • General housekeeping across the warehouse and office areas
