About the Role
- Maintain and update product specifications, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and alignment with customer and regulatory requirements.
- Manage technical information across internal databases and customer platforms, including ERUDUS, Nutritics, ANDI, and Smart Supplier.
- Validate product labels, claims, and documentation to ensure compliance with UK food legislation and food safety standards.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal teams to obtain and manage technical data, certifications, and compliance documentation.
- Support internal and external audits by ensuring specifications, records, and technical documentation are audit-ready.
- Monitor food safety, allergen, and regulatory developments, implementing corrective actions and process improvements where required.
About You
- Degree qualified in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years' experience in a Specification Technologist, Technical Administrator, Technical Assistant, or similar food industry role.
- Strong understanding of food labelling legislation, allergen management, food safety standards, and HACCP principles.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage large volumes of technical data accurately.
- Confident communicator who can build effective relationships with suppliers, customers, and cross-functional teams.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to manage multiple priorities while working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
