The role involves ensuring compliance in line with food and feed safety, quality and defence as it relates to UK, EU and GFSI (BRC) requirements, Organic, Halal, FAMI QS and Kosher.
The Regulatory Affairs Specialist will be responsible for:
- Monitoring changes in legislations and regulatory requirements, continuously assessing the impact on current business and keeping management updated on compliance protocols as necessary.
- Developing and implementing regulatory strategies for existing and new products across UK and EU regions ensuring compliance to but not limited to Allergens, REACH, Novel food, Packaging Food Contact Materials, Food Law and labelling, Feed laws and labelling, Residues and Contaminants, Natural and Botanical ingredients.
- Providing regulatory reviews of product compliance when necessary and compiling reviews for relevant departments related to Novel food status, specific application status, claims, labelling, etc.
