Our client: * Global leader in their category, consistently innovating and growing, achieving fantastic results over the last few years. * Dynamic, forward-thinking team that provides autonomy across the company to create an empowered and motivated culture. * Experiencing high growth in the portfolio and requiring a Packaging Specialist to play a key role in the Procurement team. The role: * The Packaging Specialist will be responsible for key tasks, spanning across design, development, testing, and optimization of packaging materials and processes. * Working across primary, secondary and tertiary packaging (including quality testing). * Ensure packaging is functional, cost-effective and visually appealing. * Material selection and quality – work to choose the best materials for packaging, based on wider factors (e.g. safety), environmental factors and operational suitability (including cost). * Stakeholder management – working closely with wider teams, including Artwork, Purchasing, Marketing and Operations. * Partner closely with the NPD teams – supporting with project managing new branded and own label packaging. * Finally, the Packaging Specialist will have a good understanding of wider food manufacturing operations, to enable them to support the Procurement team with ad hoc tasks. Ideal candidate: * You will already have 2-3 years experience in the Food Manufacturing industry * Must be a foodie – interested in FMCG developments. * Be a confident, strong minded, people person who is capable when challenged. * Be a do-er, someone who is hands on and works quickly to achieve business goals. * Organised, methodical, proactive!
