The role involves ensuring compliance in line with food and feed safety, quality and defence as it relates to UK, EU and GFSI (BRC) requirements, Organic, Halal, FAMI QS and Kosher. The Regulatory Affairs Executive will be responsible for monitoring changes in legislations and regulatory requirements, continuously assessing the impact on current business and keeping management updated on compliance protocols as necessary.

As a Regulatory Affairs Executive, you will develop and implement regulatory strategies for existing and new products across UK and EU regions ensuring compliance to but not limited to Allergens, REACH, Novel food, Packaging Food Contact Materials, Food Law and labelling, Feed laws and labelling, Residues and Contaminants, Natural and Botanical ingredients etc. You will provide regulatory reviews of product compliance when necessary and compile reviews for relevant departments whether that be related to Novel food status, specific application status, claims, labelling, etc. Additionally, you will support the design and maintenance of company specifications, with compliance to relevant regulation across EU.

The Regulatory Affairs Executive will sit within the Quality department and assist with workload, for example reviewing regulatory information for new raw material specifications. You will also work cross functionally with marketing, commercial and crisis management teams ensuring clear communication of regulatory information.

Ideal candidate:

  • You will need to be a strong communicator and able to clearly collaborate across multiple teams within the business.
  • You will be a self-starter, well organised and methodical with the ability to prioritise and multitask confidently.
  • Experience working in a technical/regulatory environment (ideally 3+ years) in food, feed, ingredients, chemicals or nutritional premixes.
  • You must be a highly analytical problem solver and able to work standalone and in a team.
  • You must be able to commute to Maidstone, Kent 3 days a week.
