This Buyer Fresh Food role is a new position and is ideal for an individual who wants to progress their career in a growing retailer. Excellent flexible working is offered - 3 days a week in the office and the rest from home (with flexible hours).
The role involves developing, implementing, and reviewing a customer-centric category strategy, creating innovative buying strategies that exceed customer expectations. The Buyer Fresh Food will create and deliver the category vision, focusing on growing cash sales and margin delivery, as well as building long-lasting mutually beneficial relationships with suppliers.
As an excellent negotiator, the Buyer Fresh Food will negotiate Joint Business Plans (JBP) that deliver on category objectives. The role includes sourcing new suppliers and products that will excite consumers and create value, choice, and quality, thereby growing sales and margin.
The Buyer Fresh Food will also develop promotional plans and in-store activations that drive footfall and enhance consumer value perception. Additionally, the Buyer Fresh Food will develop and manage a cost reduction strategy that delivers targeted margin.
