The Seven Stars is a new independent pub in the Surrey countryside, recently reopened under new ownership with a new Head Chef and a clear vision for the food offering. We’re building a kitchen focused on fresh, seasonal cooking without the pretension - modern British food made with care, good technique and great ingredients. Menus change regularly, produce is sourced thoughtfully, and the aim is to cook simple food exceptionally well.

We’re looking for a strong Chef de Partie or Junior Sous to join the team as we continue to grow. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone ambitious who wants to learn, develop and be part of building a kitchen properly from the ground up.

What we’re looking for:

  • A chef with solid fundamentals and good attention to detail
  • Passion for fresh food and seasonal cooking
  • Someone reliable, hard-working and eager to improve
  • Calm under pressure and organised during service
  • A positive team player with ambition to progress

What we offer:

  • Up to £38,000 total package
  • Beautiful 3-bedroom live-in flat above the pub available
  • Maximum 48-hour working week with 2 days off per week (kitchen is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
  • Opportunity to work closely with the Head Chef and owner
  • A growing, independent business where your input matters
  • Supportive environment with room to progress

This role would suit a strong CDP ready for more responsibility, or a Junior Sous looking for a fresh challenge in a kitchen with real momentum.
