About the Role
We are seeking a skilled HGV Technician to join a reputable company in the London area. This role involves diagnosing, servicing, and repairing heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HGVs and commercial vehicles.
- Diagnose faults using diagnostic equipment and rectify issues efficiently.
- Conduct MOT preparations and inspections, ensuring all vehicles meet legal requirements.
- Complete all necessary paperwork, including service records and job cards.
- Work within health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Provide technical support to other team members when required.
Requirements:
- Qualified HGV Technician (NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent).
- HGV Licence (Class 1 or 2) is desirable but not essential.
- Previous experience working with HGVs in a workshop or fleet maintenance environment.
- Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, electrical systems, and hydraulics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
