The role involves supporting category managers and the development of growth campaigns to increase market share and drive revenue with customers. The category executive will analyse market trends and customer insights to inform product and category strategies. Responsibilities include identifying new growth opportunities and developing category management plans to meet customer and business needs. Collaboration with Buying, Sales, and Suppliers is essential to ensure effective execution of category strategies, as well as coordinating with the campaign and activation team for effective promotions. The role supports both own brand and branded business across various channels.
Ideal candidate:
- Proven experience in a commercial setting or a related role, preferably within the food or retail industry.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify trends and opportunities in data.
- Creative thinker with a flair for innovation and thinking outside the box.
- Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder communication skills, with strong negotiation skills and a results-focused mindset towards delivering success.
- Passion for food and understanding of consumer needs are advantageous.
- Confident in working cross-functionally with internal departments and external suppliers.
