Our client is an entrepreneurial, fantastic Homeware online company offering a fantastic opportunity with lots of accountability and exposure. This Buyer role is ideal for a forward-thinking individual who has excellent sourcing and negotiation skills, category strategy, and experience of leading range reviews.

The Buyer Homeware will be responsible for planning and developing specific product ranges that exceed customer expectations. As Buyer Homeware, you will define the category strategy for your category that will deliver the target sales and margin contribution. You will conduct range reviews to identify gaps and product opportunities and will develop sourcing strategies focusing on cost, lead time, quality, etc. Reporting to the Head of Buying, the Buyer Homeware will negotiate terms and cost pricing with suppliers. The Buyer Homeware will understand the competitive marketplace and will identify the opportunity for new product ranges. You will analyse and report on product range performance and manage the end-to-end product lifecycle. In this role, you will work cross-functionally with multiple departments, especially the ecommerce team, to drive product performance and sales.

Ideal candidate: You will currently be working as a buyer within UK retail or manufacturing, ideally but not essentially in an ecommerce organisation. It is essential that you demonstrate a passion for product and a flair for commerciality along with fantastic negotiation skills. Working as part of a team, you must have excellent relationship-building skills and be able to communicate and influence stakeholders. As Buyer Homeware, you must have good insight and data analysis skills and be able to action opportunities to drive profit. You will have experience of managing multiple projects and roadmaps. You will have excellent planning and organisation skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative, being a self-starter with a can-do attitude.

Benefits & details: Salary up to £45k plus bonus and benefits. Fantastic culture in a growing company. The role is split between the office in Essex (3 days) and home (2 days).
