The role:

• As Buyer Crisps and Snacks, you will develop, implement, and review a customer centric category strategy for the category developing innovative buying strategies which exceed customer expectations.
• The Buyer Crisps and Snacks will manage product ranges across retail and wholesale channels, ensuring the proposition remains relevant to independent retailers, local customer needs and convenience shoppers
• As an experienced negotiator, the Buyer of Crisps and Snacks will negotiate favorable commercial terms with suppliers, supporting EDLC (Everyday Low Cost) and Buy 4 Less initiatives
• Develop and maintain strong supplier partnerships, supporting JBP’s
• The Buyer Crisps and Snacks will develop and manage pricing frameworks across retail and wholesale
• Working closely with suppliers and internal teams, the Buyer Crisps and Snacks will develop compelling promotional plans and in-store activations that drive sales, footfall, retailer participation and consumer value perception.
• Using data and insights you will work with internal and external stakeholders including merchandising, marketing and retail operations to drive the delivery of your strategy
• This Buyer Crisps and Snacks role is ideal for a commercial individual who has buying experience gained from UK retail or wholesale.
• It is essential to be able to demonstrate a proven ability to negotiate directly with suppliers, securing competitive costs, improved terms and commercial opportunities.
• experience of developing strong supplier relationships and working collaboratively to deliver Joint Business Plans, promotional investment and category growth.
• In addition, you will demonstrate a passion for the customer, product and a flair for commerciality
• Working as part of a team you must have excellent relationship building skills you will be able to communicate and influence with internal and external stakeholders.
• As Buyer of Crisps and Snacks, you must have good insight and data analysis skills and be able to action opportunities to drive profits.
• You will have excellent planning and organization skills and will be able to work independently on your own initiative, a self-starter with can-do attitude
• A full UK driving license is essential due to the nature of the role and the requirement to work with stores and retail partners
