The predicted salary is between 55000 - 55000 £ per year.

Manage a designated category and deliver long‑term profitability, meeting budgeted income and terms agreements. Negotiate with the supply base to secure the lowest cost prices and most cost‑effective routes to market. Collaborate with category and NPD teams to deliver range and New Product Development opportunities that support the company strategy. Work with Supply Chain to ensure suppliers meet service level agreements and customer demand. Lead and manage the category review process, recommending cost‑saving initiatives and presenting pricing and market analysis with recommendations.

Apply experience from a relevant buying role within food retail, wholesale, hospitality or foodservice, ideally having led negotiations with branded manufacturers. Demonstrate a passion for trading and commercial and negotiation skills. Exhibit excellent influencing, presenting, internal and external relationship skills. Show hands‑on buying experience and proven negotiation tactics with suppliers. Be a team player with strong communication skills. Possess good insight and data analysis skills and the ability to act on profit‑driving opportunities. Maintain excellent planning and organisational skills, working independently as a self‑starter with a can‑do attitude.
