The food quality technologist will be responsible for supplier monitoring including new supplier approval, evaluating risk assessments, as well as animal feed and organic approval. You will participate in HACCP meetings, approve manufacturing orders, and resolve any questions or queries related to this. You will support the quality department with updating and reviewing product documentation, labelling, specifications, and packaging including COA, SDS, allergens, GMO, and animal feed. The food quality technologist will also be responsible for the continuous improvement of the QMS and participate in projects identified by the business to further this.
Ideal candidate:
- Highly desirable: Mandarin speaking
- Strong knowledge of Quality/Technical Requirements and food industry standards including HACCP, BRC Food, Agents and Brokers.
- 3+ years’ experience in a quality or technical role in R&D in the food or ingredients industry.
- Experience in auditing suppliers and resolving non-conformances or complaints.
- Desirable experience working with retail online specification systems.
- Understanding of food legislation/labelling is essential.
