Our client is an extremely successful, fast-growing online retailer based in Central London. It is a highly commercial environment with a fast-paced culture focused on delivering a best-in-class customer experience. This role is ideal for an individual who wants to join a scale-up business where they can play a part in the growth and expansion of the business.

Location: 4 days in the office (Central London), 1 day from home.

The role: As Ecommerce Merchandise Manager, you will own the day-to-day online execution of the range. This will focus on the quality and accuracy of all onsite product merchandising including product details, images, search navigation, and events. Through understanding customer needs, trends, and shopping behaviour, the Ecommerce Merchandise Manager will drive innovation and provide inspiration to customers to encourage increased sales. The Ecommerce Merchandise Manager will actively drive automation and AI-led optimisation leveraging tools for access copy creation, product tagging, and catalogue management. You will manage and coach 1 direct report. Working closely with product and technology teams, you will identify features that will ensure merchandising is faster, more accurate, and optimises customer needs and wants. Analysing data and insights, the Ecommerce Merchandise Manager will devise long-term strategies for product categories, presenting recommendations to key stakeholders. The Ecommerce Merchandise Manager will work with marketing to determine competitive pricing and promotional strategies and with buying on ranging.

Ideal candidate: This role is ideal for a commercial individual who has online merchandising experience gained from UK food, beauty, clothing, or home retail. It is essential to demonstrate a passion for customer experience with a proven ability to translate customer needs into business strategy. You must have hands-on experience of driving automation and AI-led optimisation leveraging tools. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel are required. You should be a tenacious, strong communicator who gets things done and thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy, growth-focused culture. Additionally, you should be comfortable working with ambiguity and take a solution-driven approach. A high-energy self-starter who is a fantastic relationship builder with the ability to work cross-functionally is essential.
